Before we get into this weeks episode “King Is The Best Dark Romance Novel” I have to say a couple things. First and foremost, King is one of my FAVORITE BOOKS. The story itself was an amazing journey and when it ended, I felt like I knew all of them and could be a part of their motley crew.

From the very first line of this book I was IN. From that moment, I was almost shocked into a non-stop reading frenzy. It was like trying to look away from a car crash. It was the dirty pleasure I didn’t know I was looking for and it was thrown into my lap at 2:14 am by Carmen who had the same reaction I did. This was the start of what would become one of the best reads of my life to date and I urge you to do the same with an open mind.

Prologue

You meet King and Preppy as children. As they make a plan to escape their shit life and become their own bosses, it gave me a real “Business Boss vibe”. This should really hit all the entrepreneurs out there too!

King meets Preppy by saving him from a bully who was kicking his ass.

They tell each other their fucked up stories. King’s mom always choosing dudes over him. Preppy’s mom is dead and his step dad beats the shit out of him. As a result they form an instant bond and start making a plan. They plan to sell drugs that they steal from Preppy’s cousin and buy a “star wars” house on stilts.

I don’t know about you but a ‘Star wars house on stilts” sounds pretty cool.
